Millenium 2000 oven problem photos

photo 1If only this oven would work 7 days a week!!!

photo 2The infrared worked well the first 9 months. Recently it has gone into an intermitant lighting mode. We changed the defective ignitor hoping this would solve this problem, but it persists. I can't take a day off or turn my back on this oven and assume it will perform.

Photo on right is the infrared burner unit lit. Round tempoerature guage hanges on right side of IR window. 525' is my normal target cook temperature.

clutch pad Main burners under deck and flicker flame. These These burners gave me fits the first 9 months we operated the oven. We finally found out from our propane company how the ignitors need to be adjusted. We also had defective ignitors and connections that had to be repaired on both these burner systems. We also replaced one electric control module that went out on the main burners.

Wiring inside main box. 3 control units are located here. I have replaced 2 of the 3 burner ignitor controls in the first 12 months and the 3rd is currently in need of replacing. I had an appliance electrician here yesterday Oct 24th to help me when I found loose wires and disintegrated wire nuts in the main oven junction box. He said the control board for the infrared is not operating properly and added a temperary switch to manually control the IR control board until a replacement board arrives. Remco has not been willing to get this corrected.
Clutch with finger (Dodge Neon) Fresh air inlet we added which puts a stream of cool air under the stove where the main deck drive motor and control box is located.

What I found in the top metal junction box that sits on top of the stovenear the back exhaust. Disintegrated plastic wire nuts and loose wires including the main IR wire were exposed when I flipped the box over.
This was a revelation. When I changed out the exhaust blower motor I found desintegrated wire nuts and loose wires in this junction box. If you look closely at the end of the larger red sheathed wire it has the remains of a wire nut on it's end. The cone shaped inside piece of the wirenut is all thats left . Is there any connection to intermitant IR operation?

Replacement Dayton motor. Shaft play was excessive allowing blades to vibrate against side of housing. I mentioned this vibration 9 months ago to Mr. R and he suggested shimming the blower housing. This gained me 9 months, but this problem actually began 9 months ago when the oven was 3 months old.

New Dayton motor on right

Blower motor replacement after 15 months.

To put a metal main junction box with plastic wire nuts directly onto the top of the hotest part of this oven defies my logic. And you wonder why I have oven problems?
